Customer Service Representative

Rina Dimaisip has worked in customer service for over 25 years. She came to the Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) after working for Sierra Pacific Power Company for 17 years.
Dimaisip handles many aspects of customer service from start-up procedures to maintaining and monitoring meter accounts to billing inquiries.
"My job is to find solutions to problems presented to me," Dimaisip said.
At Sierra Pacific Power Company, Dimaisip worked with all three utility services - electric, gas and water. After coming over to TMWA, she is certain she likes working in the water business the best.
"I like working in the water industry because it's the most challenging," Dimaisip said. "And I love the people I work with at TMWA!"
Dimaisip's responsibilities include working with customers who have questions about their bills.
"Many times when a customer has a question or concern about their bill, it is usually because they are using more water than they need to," she said. "I try to educate customers about ways that they can save money and I often refer them to our water conservation department to learn more about responsible water use."
Originally from the Philippines, Dimaisip moved to Reno in 1980. She is the proud mother of two sons, both of whom have grown up to be engineers. Her husband is retired from the U.S. Army and when Dimaisip isn't traveling to visit her sons in Napa, Calif. and Austin, Texas, she loves to sing and dance.
"I love taking care of my family, and I think I have done a good job," she said.
