Purshasing and Contracts Administrator

Justine Chambers manages purchasing, public works bidding and contracting, among other things and says she enjoys her job and responsibilities.
"The culture at TMWA is really great," she said. "There are great attitudes from the management down."
Justine is a member of the Northern Nevada Public Purchasing Group as well as the Nevada Public Purchasing Study Commission (NPPSC). Through the NPPSC, Justine works with other purchasing professionals throughout the State of Nevada and people in the industry to discuss proposed changes in Nevada laws and make recommendations to the Nevada Legislature. She has taken an active role in lobbying for the last three legislative sessions.
Prior to TMWA, Justine worked for the City of Carson City for 17 years in the Purchasing and Contracts department.
Justine, the oldest of five children, has been in Nevada most of her life. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, dancing to live music and ocean camping.
"I don't like the bugs that come with regular camping," she joked.
She also likes traveling and says her favorite sites have been Williamsburg, Virginia and driving along the Shenandoah Mountains. For now, she is happy getting settled into her new position.
"The employees and management at TMWA make it a great place to work," she said. "For me, this is a dream job because they give me the tools and let me do what I do best."
